On November 7, Ningning joined fellow stars like BLACKPINK’s Rosé and actor Park Bo Gum at the 2026 LACMA Art+Film Gala. She hit the red carpet in a daring outfit, but many fans were more focused on her face than her fashion.

Several pointed out that Ningning looked noticeably different from how she usually appears, with some going as far as to claim she had a “whole new face” at the event.

Alongside the plastic surgery allegations, her visuals were hit with comparisons to fellow idols such as BLACKPINK’s Jennie and i-dle’s Minnie.

Some also likened Ningning to her fellow aespa members, many of whom have faced plastic surgery accusations of their own recently. Despite the heat on the group, however, Giselle responded to the rumors earlier this year insisting that it would be “impossible” to have plastic surgery and a “new face” every month.
