What happened

Eunchae acts as a one-day reporter and asks each of her four older members what their "Made My Night" is, meaning the small thing that makes their evening. Chaewon says Shiro, who is waiting at home. Kkura says 산낙지 (sannakji, live octopus), a one-word answer that another member notes is much shorter than everyone else's. Eunchae, Kazuha and Yunjin all say they are watching the same Japanese drama.

Why Koreans care

The drama is 'T셔츠가 마를 때까지 (syeocheu-ga mareul ttaekkaji, until T-shirt dries)' (T-syassyeo-ga mareul ttaekkaji, roughly "Until the T-shirt Dries"). The captions call it a Japanese drama. In the video, the members say it has 12 episodes and that a new one came out the day of filming. That is why they compare progress: Eunchae is one episode ahead of a member who is on episode 5, and another says she will watch episode 8 that night. Yunjin also stumbles on the title, asking whether it is "until the T-shirt is fully dry" or just "until it dries". The on-screen note confirms the shorter version is correct, so it is the Korean title itself that the group briefly argues over. Kazuha's pick is a Korean drama, 로맨스는 별책부록 (Romance Is a Bonus Book). A caption says it aired in 2019. She first gets the title wrong, and the others correct her.

In the Korean comments

One comment turns Kazuha's slip into a joke: "From today, 부록 (bonus supplement) is 불착 (not arrived)! 별.책.불.착!" (byeol-chaek bul-chak, mistaken title as joke) In translation, that is the comment's own wording. It spells out the mistaken title syllable by syllable, as if it were now the official name. The same comment adds, in translation, that Eunchae's "tension" is clearly different in front of Kkura, and that Kkura gives off a real older-sister vibe. That points to one particular stretch of the video. Another comment says, in translation, "It's cute how Eunchae goes around looking for her older sisters." That describes the reporter format the video is built on.

What the words mean

The title of Kazuha's Korean drama is 로맨스는 별책부록 (Romance Is a Bonus Book). 별책부록 (byeolchaek burok) literally means a supplement issued as a separate volume, such as the extra booklet that comes with a magazine. In the video Kazuha first says "별책 불착" (byeol-chaek bul-chak, mispronounced version), and the caption adds a question mark. 불착 (bulchak) sounds close to 부록 (burok) and is a real word meaning "non-arrival", so her version comes out as something like "Romance Is a Separate Volume That Did Not Arrive". Someone corrects her with "부록! 부록이야" (burok, supplement, repeated with emphasis). The joke is only a slip of the tongue, and the commenter is playing with it affectionately. Another phrase in the captions is 막화 (makhwa). It is a shortening of 마지막 화 (the last episode). It is casual, everyday drama-fan slang. It appears when one member asks whether the others want to watch the finale together.
