What happened

This is a RESCENE video tagged #LIV and #challenge, and the title is 우리집으로 가자 (Urijibeuro gaja, "let's go to my house"). The auto captions repeat that line, "우리 집으로 가자" (urijibeuro gaja), several times.

In the Korean comments

Several of these Korean-language comments joke about a nine-tailed fox. Two of them are about a fox that takes your liver, and that is a folk-tale image the comments lean on. One comment reads, in translation, "No but I SAW it!! A girl with nine tails said let's go to my house, and I almost gave her my liver!!" Another reads, in translation, "She makes you laugh your belly button out, and while you're laughing helplessly she slips out just your liver and eats it... Gumi-LIV." A third says, in translation, "Took my liver again today... a fox of a woman!!!" None of these comments says what happens on screen. They are reacting to LIV's persona around the invitation line in the title. Two other comments describe a contrast with LIV's comedy. One reads, in translation, "Someone this good at her actual job is desperately trying to be funny, and I'm so grateful." The other reads, in translation, "LIV without the jokes is just a really cool unnie." Here 언니 (eonni, an older sister figure) is a fan's term of address.

What the words mean

구미리브 (Gumi-LIV) is a wordplay nickname used in one comment. It appears to blend 구미호 (gumiho, the nine-tailed fox of Korean folklore) with LIV's name. The same comment goes on to the folklore image of the fox taking a person's liver. That is my reading of the pun, and the comment does not spell it out. Another comment says "꼬리 9개" (kkori 9-gae, "nine tails"), which points the same way. The tone is playful and exaggerated, and it is a compliment. "본캐" (bonkae) comes from gaming slang for a "main character." It is used for someone's main persona. One comment asks "뭐가 본캐야" (mwoga bonkaeya, "which one is the real persona?") and says it is getting "인지부조화" (injibujoha, cognitive dissonance). It is a joking, admiring way of saying the funny side and the cool side are hard to reconcile. Another comment calls this "갭차이에 치인다" (gaepchai-e chiinda, literally "run over by the gap difference"). It says the phrase is what people usually say and that this video is the ultimate case. The phrase means being hit hard by a big contrast between two sides of someone. Its register is casual and affectionate.
