*The festival details below are from the previous year (2025), and the 2026 details are currently being updated.* Beginning in 1967 with just two goats that Father Ji Jeong-hwan brought to Imsil for missionary work, the 임실N치즈축제 honors the making of Korea’s first cheese after countless trials and hardships with local young people. Held every early October at 임실치즈테마파크, it has grown into a leading Korean cultural tourism festival enjoyed by Imsil residents and visitors alike, while helping boost the local economy and cheese industry.
