The Gangneung National Heritage Night Tour is a program selected by the National Heritage Administration as a "Representative National Heritage Brand Project." Its purpose is to increase the utilization of cultural heritage by providing diverse activities, including performances, hands-on experiences, and arts, centered around streets densely populated with cultural heritage, and to enhance its preservation value by allowing people to enjoy its meaning and significance. Gangneung City has been participating in the National Heritage Administration's National Heritage Night Tour project since 2016. This year, the Gangneung National Heritage Night Tour will take place primarily around the Gangneung Daedohobu Government Office, Seobu Market, and Myeongju-dong area, featuring eight night-themed programs (Night Scenery, Night Walk, Night History, Night Flower, Night Story, Night Food, Night Stay, and Night Market). Each program conveys the meaning and value of cultural heritage through unique content such as sights, food, and entertainment, while providing opportunities to experience the history and culture of Gangneung City.
