This year’s theme, “Into the Purple Sunset,” brings together performances, hands-on activities, and food against the backdrop of autumn scenery and Gamaksan’s natural beauty. At Star Wind Hill, a slow mailbox lets you write a letter and receive it before next year’s event, adding another memorable attraction. Food is another major delight of the festival. At the Flower Star Market, where local farms and businesses participate, you can find Geochang specialties and processed products. At the food market run by the women’s associations of Namsang-myeon and Sinwon-myeon, you can enjoy hearty dishes such as bibimbap, gukbap, jeon, and tofu kimchi at affordable prices, while the food truck zone serves easy favorites like coffee, sujeonggwa, hot dogs, and more.
