Among its specialties, Gwangju kimchi is so rich in flavor and atmosphere that it is known by its own name as Jeolla-do kimchi and Gwangju kimchi. Gwangju kimchi is characterized by generous seasoning with ingredients such as salted anchovy sauce, glutinous rice paste, and whole sesame seeds, along with various vegetables.
