고창모양성제

고창모양성제 is a history and culture festival centered on 모양성, the fortress whose original shape is best preserved in Korea. Its signature program, 답성놀이, turns a local legend into an interactive experience: one lap is said to cure leg pain, two laps bring health and longevity, and three laps lead to paradise. The festival also features 밤 답성강강술래, a night program that blends 답성놀이 and 강강술래 for locals and visitors to enjoy together; a street parade with more than 1,000 residents expressing the past, present, and future; 리턴즈1453, a journey-through-time experience inside 고창읍성; and food and direct-market booths using local specialties from Gochang.
