TWICE’s Sana Spills On The Decisive Moment For Her To Become A K-Pop Idol
TWICE‘s Sana looked back on the decisive moment for her to leave Japan and join JYP Entertainment to become a K-Pop idol.
On October 1st, a YouTube channel called Ch117 uploaded a video featuring 2PM‘s Junho, with Sana as the MC.

In the video, Sana said about Junho, who is also from JYP, “He was the only senior who truly looked out for me since my debut. Even when we were on a world tour, he kept in touch and gave me advice.” Junho responded, “I probably took good care of your health,” and Sana added, “He also told me to enjoy it and have fun.”
When Junho said, “Aren’t you doing well enough now?” Sana laughed and replied, “Well, it’s been ten years.” Junho said, “I still can’t believe you’ve been around for ten years. I’ve been a singer for 18 years and an actor for 13 years,” to which Sana reacted with surprise, “Has it really been that long?”

Sana also revealed, “The decisive reason I joined JYP was after watching a 2PM concert. When I was cast in Japan, I was unsure about going to Korea or joining JYP. My mom got tickets to a 2PM concert for us, so we went together. She asked me, ‘Do you want to be on stage like that?’ and I said, ‘Yeah, I want to do that too.’ That’s how I came to Korea.”
Sana recalled how impressive 2PM’s performance was at the time and said, “So after debuting, I thought, ‘Of course, someday I’ll be performing with male dancers.’ Because the seniors I watched danced with female dancers. But we didn’t use male dancers. This current tour is the first time we’ve had male dancers.”
