Daegu
Korea's Tteokbokki Festival is a nationwide food festival held in Daegu. This festival celebrates tteokbokki, a beloved street food for all ages, blending street stall culture with retro atmosphere. The venue features various regional tteokbokki brands and food trucks showcasing diverse recipes and unique styles, offering visitors everything from nostalgic tteokbokki flavors to innovative fusion versions. By reimagining 1980s and 1990s street food cart culture in a modern way, the festival evokes that era's sentiment while introducing contemporary culture to today's generation. Beyond mere dining enjoyment, it serves as a meaningful space for intergenerational connection and cultural exchange, and as an opportunity to revitalize the local economy and showcase Daegu's cultural charm.
