함양산삼축제

Held every year around September to October, the Hamyang wild ginseng grown in germane-rich soil above 500m is known as premium ginseng for its dense, firm texture and high saponin content. With the nation's first wild ginseng traceability system, visitors can check production information accurately, and ongoing quality management through wild ginseng protectors helps maintain its distinctive premium quality. The festival reexamines the meaning and historical value of wild ginseng and the mountain gatherers who harvested it through programs that preserve their history and culture at Hamyang Sangrim Park, Natural Monument No. 154, where a thousand years of mystery still live and breathe. It was created to use the image of clean forest products, especially wild ginseng, the county's signature brand, to expand sales channels for local agricultural and specialty products, and to energize the local economy through programs linked with forest, culture, and tourism resources.
