A lot of people on Twitter are saying the same thing about Lee Soo-man's girl group
Fans love Lee Soo-man's girl group for its brutally tight synchronization and deliberately manufactured, old-school idol feel.
Seeing so many people say they love how thoroughly manufactured by the agency and artificial it feels makes me wonder if the trend is shifting back from natural to artificial again lollll

These comments feel so familiar. It's like back in the second-generation era, when TVXQ had become popular and then BIGBANG and 2PM gained popularity with their free-spirited concepts. People back then would scold them, saying synchronized dancing was the lifeblood of idols, that they couldn't even dance properly, that they were idols pretending to be artists, and that they were slacking off lol. I guess everything really does come back around. People could just praise what's good, but instead nearly every other idol is getting dragged. Most of these comments don't seem to be admiring or enjoying this group itself. They sound like old-timer K-pop stans nostalgically reliving the old SM flavor that current SM no longer gives them through an idol produced by Lee Soo-man, while lecturing today's idols about how they're different from the ones who pretend to be free-spirited, slack off, and only try to look pretty. It's kind of funny lolllll.
After watching idols use “freedom” as an excuse to half-a** the hell out of both the singing and choreography onstage, then catch superstar syndrome the second they debut, it just feels good to see rookies who actually prepared properly and are working hard to be perfect.
Someone commented, “Asgard isn't a place,” and I absolutely lost it hahahahaha. In the Asgard that old man created, they're serving up brutally demanding synchronized dancing and huge-group choreography that hits every beat so damn well—how could you not eat that up... Familiar flavors really are powerful, yep. More than anything, they're just so good onstage that it's insanely fun. I guess the most important thing for singers really is being good onstage. I kept watching because the performances were so good, and now the song's addictive too lolllll. “Unmarried-and-not-marrying” keeps getting stuck in my head.
