Huh? I work for a cosmetics ODM, and like they said, the industry is wary of China catching up... That theqoo user's wording does sound like plain China-stan talk, but my company also goes to trade shows in China, brings back samples, and analyzes everything from trends to manufacturing methods. Honestly, their molding technology is already ahead... Our CEO and people with over 30 years in the industry whose lectures I heard recently all said we need to prepare to compete with China and win, not the US or Europe.

I'm so sick of people under every K-beauty video saying Chinese makeup is incomparably better and that Korean makeup copied Douyin makeup or whatever lol. Hardly any Koreans use TikTok or leave English comments, so the level of Chinese users' coordinated TikTok pushing is seriously insane.
