CORTIS’s Martin Receives Scathing Backlash For “Weird” Behavior Toward BTS’s RM
Some BTS fans accuse CORTIS leader Martin of copying RM after the two credited fans with the same share of success.
The two fanbases of BIGHIT MUSIC’s first and newest boy groups— BTS and CORTIS, respectively— are yet again in a conflict over their respective leaders, RM and Martin.

Ever since CORTIS’s debut, Martin has been compared quite a lot with RM, with many finding the two visually similar as well. However, these comparisons have often been the source of a rift between the two fanbases. A recent viral clip comparing the two side by side has yet again fueled this fire.

The clip in question shows Martin saying that each CORTIS member had only a 5% contribution to the group’s success, with 25% going to their staff and the remaining 50% to their fans. Then it cuts to RM saying the same thing during BTS’s Permission To Dance press conference, where he credited fans for 50% of their success, attributed 5% each to the seven members, and the rest to their agency.
BTS fans were immediately irked and accused Martin of intentionally “copying” RM to replicate BTS’s public image, supposedly. Some also speculated that it was a calculated move on the part of BIGHIT MUSIC.
