But why didn’t Jae Hee ever get big?..
The problem was that after this filler drama, KBS’s Monday-Tuesday dramas didn’t take first place in the ratings once for 4 years, all the way until Boys Over Flowers. They just kept getting crushed. At least The Vineyard Man held up surprisingly well with around 16% against Jumong, but the slot became known as a ratings graveyard for 4 years.
Yoon Kye-sang and Han Ga-in were pretty much locked in, but when Yoon Kye-sang dropped out, Han Ga-in left too. Two months later, Han Ga-in joined Super Rookie with Eric. (The Super Rookie writers were on a streak with hits like Thousand Years of Love and What Happened in Bali at the time, so it was still a pretty good gig.)
