Shin Hye-sung, who handled Shinhwa’s solo bridges and “saintess parts”
Fans are revisiting Shin Hye-sung’s signature “saintess parts” in Shinhwa songs, mixing admiration for his voice with bitter disappointment.

He usually sang the late-song bridges in Shinhwa tracks, the sections commonly called the “saintess parts.”
There’s even a video compilation like this, so I thought I’d post it.
Shin Hye-sung’s singing is one thing, but watching the choreography during his parts is fun too.

The other members would bow or sit around Shin Hye-sung while he alone stood and sang.
Most of the songs were choreographed that way, making the vocalist stand out so viewers could focus on the main vocalist.
Anyway, I wish everyone, including Shin Hye-sung, had just lived their lives properly. It’s disappointing and bitter in so many ways.

Main vocalists really got treated well in the idol scene back then. Or was Shinhwa the only group like that? When I followed 3rd-gen idols, the main vocalist would be belting high notes from the side, hidden behind a pushed member just standing there while doing the chorus and ad-libs, and it p*ssed me off. The voice was crystal clear, but you couldn’t see the main vocalist’s face... The main vocalist even did all the rap doubling... And the pushed member would mouth along and lip-sync even when it wasn’t their part, so international fans unfamiliar with them would think it was the pushed member’s part. I remember that making me even more furious...
Shinhwa had so many great songs lol. There used to be tons of idols saying they wanted to last as long as Shinhwa. How did Shinhwa end up like this?
I don’t even feel sorry for him. Just remember an idol from when he was an idol. I don’t need some ordinary guy who caused trouble. You can go.
