A Japanese boy idol’s story about meeting Illit’s Wonhee at the Chanel show
Wonhee’s earnest Japanese about a rock-hard Chanel seat turned into an unexpectedly cute exchange with Matsumura Hokuto.

“Did your butt die?”
“Yes. It died.”

15. Anonymous theqoo user 14:29 I saw this on another site yesterday. Wonhee was trending on Japanese X, but it got translated as “her butt was finished,” so someone wondered what on earth she had said for it to be translated that strangely and asked Grok. “Oshiri owatta” literally means “my butt is finished.” At the Chanel show in Paris during Fashion Week, the chairs were so hard that Illit’s Wonhee said in cute, halting Japanese, “Shita, katai kara... tabun... oshiri owaru” (“The seat is hard... so maybe... my butt will be finished”). After the show, Matsumura Hokuto asked, “Is your butt finished?” and Wonhee answered, “Owatta” (“It’s finished”), so fans jokingly called her “Wonhee-chan whose butt is finished.”
Which part of the exchange was funnier?

Lmaoooooooo she’s seriously so cute... She knew he was Japanese, so she pulled out every bit of Japanese she knew lololol, which makes it even funnier 😭 lol. Her star power is insane, seriously.
I love how Wonhee just goes for it when she speaks Japanese lol. She isn’t super fluent, but you can understand everything she means, and her Japanese feels so sincere lol. It actually comes across better than if she tried to make everything sound polished lol.
This is hilarious lolol. Wonhee is so cute, and the boy idol next to her played along so well, so they’re both adorable lmaoooooo
