Running in group B for his first full marathon, and having pacemakers trailing him on every side — you really can't say that isn't celebrity special treatment. On top of that, he even pulled an absurd foul just to make a "sub-3 on his first full marathon" title happen. Of course he should be disqualified, and yeah, it's embarrassing — doesn't he realize that shielding this as "no big deal" is just making people criticize him more?

In a sanctioned race (there's a separate category for races where records are officially recognized), if you have no official record you absolutely can't get into group B. The further back your group, the worse the bottleneck, and your start time is later, so you have to wait longer at the start line. You can't say it wasn't special treatment. And is it even okay for a pacemaker to block the wind for him up front? Just blocking the wind alone makes running way easier..... hmm.......

People are saying "why are you getting so mad about this"... lol, in the running communities the reaction was just mildly negative, it wasn't a huge controversy. Choi Min-ho wasn't the only one who ran in group B — other celebrities got the same kind of special treatment too, and in the end he didn't even go sub-3, plus he's not a pro anyway. Still, it's a situation that's fair to bring up, so it should've just gotten some mild talk and blown over, but the reason it's blowing up on theqoo now is because fans jumped in with weird shielding comments early on. Other theqoo users are even explaining this wasn't that big of a controversy... so fans, read the room a bit.
