What happened

IVE's YouTube channel posted a Short titled "BANG BANG (CUTE ver.)". The description holds only store and social links, so nothing in it explains what the "cute version" is.

In the Korean comments

One Korean-language comment sets the group version against Liz doing it at a concert. In translation: "When Liz did it at a concert it was so cute, but the group version is six times cuter, really." The comment does not say which concert. Another comment reads, in translation: "Wow, this is the first cute version of Bang Bang I've seen, and it's really so, so cute. Thank you for your hard work on the second world tour too." Neither comment says where this clip was filmed.

What the words mean

One comment asks, in translation, "Wow, is this the Bang Bang 애교 (aegyo, deliberately cute charm) challenge?" The commenter is asking, not stating, and the aegyo framing is theirs. The title says only "CUTE ver." Literally, the word means charm or winsomeness. In everyday Korean and in fan talk it means cuteness put on deliberately, such as a sweet voice, small gestures or a playful expression. The register is affectionate and playful. The same comment ends with "아이브 아가들 최고" (Aibeu agadeul choego, "IVE babies are the best"). 아가 (aga, baby) literally means a baby.
