What happened

ITZY's Ryujin films a solo commercial for the shoe brand GOODBAI Minuet, shot as a dance-practice-session concept. She couldn't bring her own cats, Bama and Una, so the brand brought in other cats as stand-in photo props instead.

In the Korean comments

Several comments end up more interested in the cats — or in Ryujin's reaction to them — than in the shoes themselves. One reads, in translation: "Watching Ryujin find the cat cute is even cuter than the cat itself... I'm jealous of the cat," making her reaction the real subject of interest. Another notes, in translation: "It's amazing the cat is so calm in an unfamiliar place... good thing that let the shoot go well," crediting the cat's temperament for the shoot going smoothly. A third praises the casting itself, writing, in translation: "Such a perfect match with Ryujin!!! Goodbai really knows how to pick people!" — using 찰떡 (chaptteok, literally "sticky rice cake," here meaning "a perfect fit").

What the words mean

The video's most-liked comment, "신류진은 심장에 해롭습니다" (Sin Ryujin-eun simjang-e haeropseumnida, literally "Ryujin is harmful to the heart"), isn't a health claim. 심장에 해롭다 (simjang-e haeropda) is a stock fan expression for someone so charming that looking at them feels overwhelming — casual, affectionate, and deliberately exaggerated.
