(Pre-release) Can't Help But Yield

What happened

This is an ILLIT preview clip, marked 선공개 (seon-gonggae, released ahead of the full content). In the auto captions, someone explains that Roa and the member seated on the other side may matter because they have to roll a window down. The captions then count down "둘 셋" (dul set, two, three) and drift into garbled lines.

Why Koreans care

The title tag 선공개 (seon-gonggae, early release) marks this as a teaser for content published in full elsewhere. The supplied material doesn't say where. The captions are auto-generated and partly garbled, so only the window line is reliable. It says the two members on either side "창문 내려서 빌어야 되거든요" (changmun naryeoseo bireoya doegeodeunyo, they have to lower the window and beg or plead). The captions don't say what they are asking for.

In the Korean comments

Several Korean-language comments read the clip as a driving scene, although the supplied captions never say so. One reads "노윤아일릿의 운전연습" (No Yun-a ILLIT-ui unjeon yeonseup, No Yun-a ILLIT's driving practice). In translation, it calls the clip driving practice. It also joins the name 노윤아 (Noh Yunah) to 아일릿 (ILLIT) by sharing the syllable 아 (ah, oh, interjection). Another calls it a "꿀잼보장컨텐츠" (kkuljaem bojang contents, guaranteed-fun content) and adds "초보운전" (chobo unjeon, novice driver). One reads, in translation, "Wow, babies are already driving!" The word for babies there is 아가들 (agadeul), an affectionate term. Another says, in translation, that someone has already got a license. One comment quotes the sound "으으으으으으음~~" (eu-eu-eu-eu-eu-eu-eum, humming sound) and asks, in translation, what that even is. It attributes the sound to 이원희 (Lee Wonhee).

What the words mean

The title 양보해 줄 수밖에 (yangbohae jul subakke) literally reads "only able to yield for someone". The full pattern is -ㄹ 수밖에 없다 (-l subakke eopda, have no choice but to), so the title means "I have no choice but to give way". It leaves off 없다 (eopda, there is none), which makes it sound like a trailing thought. 양보 (yangbo) is yielding, and it is also the word for giving way on the road. One comment repeats the structure: "와 안비켜줄수가 없자나" (wa an bikyeojulsuga eopjana, wow, there's no way not to make way). 없자나 (eopjana) is a casual spelling of 없잖아 (eopjanha, you know, there isn't). The register is chatty and light.
