What happened

ATEEZ's Hongjoong went live to mark the release of the collaboration single "ENOuGH", which came out at 1 p.m. that day. The captions render the collaborator's name as 밧지 (Batji), which is an auto-caption spelling. He said the stream had three segments. The first was behind-the-scenes photos from the music video that he said had not been shown anywhere before.

Why Koreans care

In the first photo segment, Hongjoong said the spaceship set was a rest area that barely appears in the finished video. He said he retreated there mid-shoot because he was worn out. He also said the whole video, including the scenes with the collaborator, was shot in a single day. The order was the spaceship solo scenes first, then the outdoor scenes with the collaborator, then more solo scenes. The two-shot had to be finished before the sun set, so the crew started early in the morning. He also said the song is short, and that he had seen viewers complain about it. His answer was that being short is part of its appeal. He described the video as one piece of a larger plan. This is a collaboration track rather than a solo album, and he said he hopes his collaborations can eventually connect into one "세계관" (segyegwan, a shared fictional universe). He said he has other tracks in preparation besides this one, and that they would join that universe if they get released.

What the words mean

세계관 (segyegwan) literally means "worldview". In K-pop it is the common word for a connected fictional universe that links an artist's songs, videos and characters. Hongjoong uses it in that sense, meaning a shared universe across his collaborations. He is not talking about a personal philosophy.
