What happened

This TWS behind-the-scenes video follows rehearsals for their SUMMER SONIC 2026 appearance. The captions say it is their first time performing at the festival. It starts with a run-through of "HOT BLUE SHOES" with a live band and ends in a practice room in Japan.

Why Koreans care

The captions show how a concert set is reworked for a festival. In one rehearsal, the group has to leave the concert version of "hey! hey!" behind. A caption then says the dancers "break down" as a group, and another says the routine is being put back in place. For "HOT BLUE SHOES", the staff explain that the choreography is only the chorus and the rest is free movement. Because it is a festival, the caption says looking like they are having fun matters more. A staff member tells the youngest, Kyungmin, to go wherever he likes. The members are told they can spray water on each other. "Get It Now" is re-blocked for the full six-member line-up. Some positions change, and Youngjae is told to go the opposite direction at one point. The practice room in Japan runs with the air conditioning off, which a caption explains as adapting to the hot weather. Youngjae also lists his bucket list: visit theme parks worldwide, see a Japanese fireworks festival, and try scuba diving.

In the Korean comments

One comment at the 14:20 mark reads, in translation: "It wasn't just hot in Japan then, it was scorching… and it was an outdoor stage, yet Jihoon had long sleeves?" The commenter adds that they are proud the group performed hard anyway and says Jihoon deserves lots of comfort. This comment cites a specific detail from the video as its reason for concern. Another comment also at 14:20 says the "TWS mind" is moving every day, and adds that the Osaka stage that day produced legendary fancams. A different comment at 20:48 picks out a small moment. In translation: Jihoon is showing the choreography he made, and Youngjae seems to genuinely dislike it, which the commenter finds both funny and a little sad. At 11:23, one commenter says Jihoon really knows everything and passes on a piece of everyday knowledge. They say the substance that causes itching is protein-based, so heat destroys it, and that they picked this up somewhere themselves. The comment does not say what the itching is from, and this page cannot confirm that claim.

What the words mean

The captions use joking wording for the choreography mix-ups. "교통사고 발생" (gyotong-sago balsaeng, "a traffic accident occurred") is not about a real accident. It marks the moment two members, Dohoon and Kyungmin, dance the same direction when the choreography has them go opposite ways. "단체로 고장" (dancheero gojang, "broke down as a group") means everyone got the moves wrong at once, as if a machine had stopped. The caption "햄 심은 데 햄 나버린 현장" (haem simeun de haem nabeorin hyeonjang) plays on the proverb 콩 심은 데 콩 난다 (kong simeun de kong nanda, "where you plant beans, beans grow"). The proverb means offspring or results match their source. The caption swaps in 햄 (haem, "ham") for the beans. The caption is a joke, and the source does not explain what the ham refers to.
