‘Jirisan Picnic’ is a walking event along the Jirisan Dulle-gil, launched in 2011 to foster a reflective walking culture in Jirisan. Held in rotation across Namwon-si, Hamyang-gun, Sancheong-gun, Hadong-gun, and Gurye-gun, the event brings people together to discover Jirisan’s nature, local culture, and communities on foot. The 2026 event takes place in Sancheong, following an approximately 12㎞ route from Sancheong-gunmin Neighborhood Park through Seonnyeotang and Hanbat Village to Sancheong-eup for lunch, then via Hwanajeong back to Sancheong-gunmin Neighborhood Park. Hands-on programs and events are arranged along the route, followed by a picnic market and cultural performances at Sancheong-gunmin Neighborhood Park. The market features local food and crafts, and participants receive a souvenir and a 1만 원 Sancheong Sarang Gift Certificate for use in Sancheong-eup.
