The Dasan Jeong Yak-yong Cultural Festival celebrates the life, thought, and Practical Learning spirit of the great 18th-century scholar. The 40th edition takes place October 17–18, 2026, at the Jeong Yak-yong heritage sites and Dasan Ecological Park in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province. Key programs include traditional flower offerings and tea ceremonies, an opening ceremony with the musical gala 「Dasan, Star Upon the Water」, a special 40th-anniversary fashion show, and a commemorative concert featuring artists including Aqlse, Park Hye-won, and Urban Zakapa. Experience activities range from Yeoyeudang Hunters (a treasure-hunt mission game), digital detox exile simulation, the Jeong Yak-yong Future Workshop (exploring AI and robotics), traditional games, and hanbok fittings to the Dasan tea house and photo zones. The Dasan Ecological Park hosts street busking performances and artisan markets, creating a festival that weaves together Jeong Yak-yong's historical legacy with contemporary performances, competitions, and hands-on experiences for all ages.
