'걷자잉' combines a dialect expression with the present participle 'ing,' and means to walk together and enjoy Geumnam-ro. In line with Gwangju’s declaration to become a '대·자·보 city' (public transit, bicycle, walking), this event aims to overcome the climate crisis and create a downtown street where rest and conversation come together, while energizing active mobility. In 2026, it will run on the first Saturday of each month from 4월 to 11월, providing an environment where citizens can walk freely alongside a range of hands-on programs and cultural performances.
