18e Festival d’architecture de Séoul

The 2025 17th Seoul Architecture Festival, under the theme 'Seoul: A Multilayered City', takes a future-oriented look at Seoul's identity and local character. The festival began as an exhibition of Seoul Architecture Award winners, but from 2010 it expanded into a Seoul Architecture Festival with citizen-participation programs so it would not end as an event only for award recipients. Each year it has grown into a comprehensive architecture and culture event with a diverse lineup of exhibitions, lectures, forums, and site tours. Along with the exhibition showcasing Seoul's beautiful buildings that have won the Seoul Metropolitan Government Architecture Award, the festival also offers citizen-participation programs designed to make architecture culture more engaging. These include the grand director's theme exhibition and talk concert, the 'Architecture Culture Tour' of award-winning works, the 'Open Class' where winning architects explain their projects, and 'Open Office', a visit to the architects' studios.
