The 5th Gamaksan Flower and Star Journey runs from 2025년 9월 19일부터 10월 12일까지 at Gamaksan Peak and the Star Wind Hill area in Sinwon-myeon, Geochang-gun, as a signature autumn festival. This year’s theme, “Into the Purple Sunset,” brings together performances, hands-on activities, and food against the backdrop of autumn scenery and Gamaksan’s natural beauty. The festival officially begins with the opening ceremony on 9월 23일, featuring a pre-show performance, an opening performance, and a visit to the Chrysanthemum Garden area. During the festival, visitors can enjoy busking, the Sunset Hill Concert, a congratulatory performance by the Geochang Akwoo Association, and a magic show for children. On 20일날, the concert will feature a cappella, popera, and jazz band performances, creating a romantic mood that blends with the sunset. The experience programs are also rich. On weekends, the wellness healing program offers herbal tea tasting and a “Gamaksan Scent Roll-On” making experience, while photo zones, stamp tours, and social media check-in events around the venue offer chances to receive souvenirs. At Star Wind Hill, a slow mailbox lets you write a letter and receive it before next year’s event, adding another memorable attraction. Food is another major delight of the festival. At the Flower Star Market, where local farms and businesses participate, you can find Geochang specialties and processed products. At the food market run by the women’s associations of Namsang-myeon and Sinwon-myeon, you can enjoy hearty dishes such as bibimbap, gukbap, jeon, and tofu kimchi at affordable prices, while the food truck zone serves easy favorites like coffee, sujeonggwa, hot dogs, and more.
