광주버스킹월드컵

An international busking competition that recruits musicians from around the world and ranks them through World Cup-style live performances. Busking, the symbol of street culture, takes over 5·18민주광장, the sacred ground of democracy in 대한민국, for a festival. Over the week, musicians from around the world go beyond competition to showcase their talent across borders and cultures, while exchanging their unique styles and backgrounds. Finalists also get free-busking stages in Gwangju's old downtown areas such as 충장로, 동명동, and 구시청, plus after-parties, Gwangju sightseeing fam tours, and other events that help musicians connect and grow.
