This participatory fair expands the value of Gurye’s clean soil and eco-friendly agriculture through exhibitions, hands-on activities, food, performances, and community-focused content. Visitors can see, walk on, touch, and taste soil while naturally discovering what carbon neutrality means and how to put it into practice. The fair presents the broad challenges of climate change response and carbon-neutral living through the everyday themes of soil and agriculture, encouraging understanding and voluntary participation among residents and visitors. Centered on Gurye’s clean soil and eco-friendly agriculture, it connects Korean wheat, local farm products, return-to-farming and rural-resettlement policies, and the tourism resources of Jirisan and the Seomjin River to create distinctive fair content. Moving beyond a viewing-focused event centered on themed exhibitions, it offers participatory programs combining walking, hands-on experiences, food, performances, shopping, and extended stays, allowing visitors to experience the value and importance of soil firsthand. The fair also aims to build a collaborative network in which local farmers, related organizations, companies, artists, and residents participate as both content providers and event operators, contributing to the local economy and creating shared community value.
