*The festival information below is from last year (2025), and the 2026 details are being updated.* The Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival tells the story of four days of King Jeongjo's eight-day royal procession in Suwon Hwaseong in 1795, where visitors can enjoy high-quality cultural and artistic content against the backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage site Suwon Hwaseong. The royal parade Jeongjo Daewang Neunghaengcha, based on Wonhaeng Eulmyo Jeongni Uigwe, is the largest royal parade in Korea and a citizen-participation parade, allowing visitors to enjoy the event as participants rather than simple spectators. Selected as a global festival, the Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival also offers content for international visitors, including a global village.
