The 22nd Po-eun Cultural Festival honors the life and spirit of Po-eun Jeong Mong-ju and shares traditional culture with the community as a historical and cultural celebration. Taking place October 10–11, 2026, in Mohyeon-eup, Chuin-gu, Yongin-si around the tomb of Po-eun Jeong Mong-ju, this year marks the 620th anniversary of his ascension with the theme «Po-eun's Breath—Connecting 620.» Ceremonial processions and memorial rites honor Po-eun's legacy, while commemorative performances, celebrations, the Yongin Folk Arts Festival, and award-winning performances from the 22nd National Youth Korean Classical Music Competition showcase traditional arts. Families learn and celebrate history together through «Challenge! Little Exam Champion» (children's civil service exam experience), Po-eun School, traditional culture workshops, and community programs. Food trucks, local specialties, and regional agricultural products create a vibrant marketplace where visitors enjoy local culture. The RE-BORN mission bridges this festival with September's Chuin Fortress Culture Festival, with «Chuin Protector» challenges that connect both festivals' historical narratives and provide immersive experiences of Yongin's heritage.
