The 4th Busan Seo-gu Medical Tourism Festival will be held on September 11 and 12 at Songdo Ocean Park, co-hosted by Seo-gu, Busan National University Hospital, Dong-A University Hospital, Kosin University Gospel Hospital, and Samyook Busan Hospital. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 3 PM on the 12th. This festival aims to promote Seo-gu, the first 'Medical Tourism Special Zone' in Busan and Ulsan, while establishing a foundation for attracting foreign patients through 'business consultations and buyer fam tours,' and providing residents and tourists with accurate health information and various medical experience opportunities. Programs that anyone can participate in, such as 'Health Challenge Games,' 'CPR Lectures,' 'Meditation Yoga,' and 'Proper Walking One-Day Classes,' will be available at the festival site. This year, to expand tourist participation, a new 'Wellness & Global Food Zone' has been created, along with a 'Mobile Medical Bus' and 'Flea Market' zone. Additionally, child-friendly programs such as 'Children's Health Musical,' 'Kids Doctor Experience Center,' and 'Racing Air Bouncer' will be enhanced to attract family visitors. A stage combining health and culture will also be prepared. The 'Health Talk Concert' with renowned university hospital doctors, along with magic, balloon, juggling shows, popera, saxophone performances, and a congratulatory performance by 'Mr. Trot 3's Chuhyukjin' will offer healing moments to the audience. Health-related consultations, exhibitions, promotions, and experience events will take place at over 60 booths, with participation from co-hosting hospitals, health centers, and the Korean Medicine Association, providing various health services and information such as bone density tests, lung capacity tests, blood pressure and blood sugar measurements, Korean medicine acupuncture treatment, and proper medication consultation. Additionally, Seo-gu and Busan Technopark will operate a 'Healthcare Industry Promotion Hall' to showcase products from promising local medical technology companies and provide experience opportunities, highlighting Seo-gu's unique charm that combines healthcare, industry, and tourism.
