The 22nd Sanbuk Pinmshil Festival has established itself as Yeoju's signature event over 22 years. This year's theme is «Sanbuk AI Kimjang Culture Festival.» Kimjang—the traditional Korean preparation of fermented vegetables—is both a celebrated culinary heritage and a cherished practice where families and neighbors share warmth and connection. Designated as UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2013, kimjang embodies the communal spirit of creating and sharing together. The Sanbuk AI Kimjang Culture Festival honors this ancestral tradition while integrating modern technology to make participation accessible and joyful for everyone. By bringing together fresh local produce with cutting-edge innovation, the festival creates a distinctive experience celebrating not only the pleasure of kimjang preparation but also the value of local agriculture and the bright future of sustainable farming.
