Idol-Turned-Actress Opens Up About Her Struggles As She Travels Alone
An idol-turned-actress recently opened up about the struggles she faced while traveling alone.
On October 2nd, footage of a trip to Vancouver, Canada was uploaded on YouTube by Hyeri.

In the video, Hyeri traveled to Vancouver without any plans. She said she was looking for a place where she could travel quietly by herself. Hyeri shared the reason why she traveled alone, confessing, “After finishing filming Dream to You last year and completing the Asia tour fan meetings, I felt empty.”
She added, “It was the first time I felt this way—I felt like I had forgotten how to live my daily life. I didn’t know how to spend my time. I needed a recharge and experiences in a new space at the right time.”

She expressed satisfaction with the trip, saying, “Since my mind wasn’t settled, I felt lethargic, so I came here with the intention to sort myself out, and it feels really good.”
Reflecting on what she observed in the locals, Hyeri said, “I think my lethargy came from having a too narrow perspective. I realized I need to look further ahead. I thought I was someone who takes good care of myself, but there were parts I had overlooked.”
Hyeri also shared her feelings of pressure about filming Hyel’s Club, a series on her YouTube channel where she invites guests. She confessed, “After hosting the content, I think I felt a certain burden as the host.”
Finally, Hyeri showed a changed side of herself, saying, “I used to think I was honest when talking about my feelings in the past, but I think I still used a lot of embellished words. But at some point, I started thinking that I should be more honest about my own story.”
