Chef Son Jong-won's latest update after the double-eyelid surgery rumors blew up a few days ago

Source: Yeoseong Sidae Gemg

The eyes everyone was freaking out about a few days ago

People were arguing over whether it was double-eyelid surgery or swelling from gum surgery

Today they're back to looking like they used to, and Chef Son is busy cooking again

Looks like it really was their whole face getting puffy from being a legendary-level, insanely busy workaholic dealing with overwork + exhaustion + illness + feeling off

+ Apparently their eyes have always been slightly uneven, with inner double eyelids on both sides that can look pretty pronounced depending on their condition

++ Actually, even last week when the controversy really blew up, people kept saying in multiple places that Chef Son had been pretty sick

But no matter how many times people said that, it felt like a ton of others were going, "Stop defending them with fake excuses, it was obviously double-eyelid surgery," and mocking Chef Son and saying awful stuff to the point of basically leaving hate comments

The controversy got reposted everywhere within hours, with every self-proclaimed plastic surgery expert crawling out of the woodwork and all kinds of stuff being said, but now we're in this darkly funny situation where there are only 1 or 2 small articles about the update

I'm a Chef & My Fridge fan, and Chef Son is seriously so busy there's no time for surgery... Even if they had gotten double-eyelid surgery, it wouldn't be a problem, but seeing them get mocked over it multiple times was ridiculous

It seriously looked like Chef Son hadn't had a single day off in the past few months, and people were saying all kinds of crap about someone who had gum inflammation flare up from overwork and needed surgery

Even in the post that blew up, it was because Chef Son was sick, not because of double-eyelid surgery, and 5 trillion and 500 million photos of them without double eyelids went up that same day. It was so funny watching people still make a huge fuss like, "The surgery came out nice, it's their choice anyway."
