Basic washing and hygiene clearly weren’t ingrained in him even by enlistment age, so of course he resented the military enforcing minimum standards. He was just a filthy guy who kept living filthily, then had to meet society’s expectations for the first time during military service. Now he’s edited the whole story to center himself and tells it like that, and the people around him are expected to sit there going, “Oh, so that’s how it was for you.” They must be annoyed too.
If you watch Kian’s Bizarre B&B, he seriously doesn’t wash. Even when he does, it takes less than 5 minutes, and he doesn’t change out of clothes soaked in sweat. Worst of all, he keeps touching and scratching his bare feet, then cooks with those hands without even wearing gloves.
