Current SM idol stans don't miss Lee Soo-man, though

SM fans are pushing back on Lee Soo-man nostalgia, saying current SM acts and creative direction are doing just fine without him.

Translated from X post

Current SM idol fangirls don't miss Lee Soo-man, but the old-school K-pop crowd keeps saying weird stuff and getting all excited among themselves, and now the fallout is landing over here. I'm dying lol

Personally, I prefer No Soo-man

Out of all the current SM idols, Hearts2Hearts is the only one they drag to hell. They're too scared to touch the boy groups. I moved to another agency's artists after stanning SM too, but what other girl group is growing as well as Hearts2Hearts? They already have a hit song;; It's fine to like whatever you like, but this is embarrassing. If you check the accounts of all these old people spouting nonsense on Twitter, they don't even follow K-pop anymore.

Since BoA has been coming up a lot because of Lee Soo-man's recent girl group, let me just say BoA fans spent years wanting both Yoo Young-jin and Lee Soo-man gone, and when Lee Soo-man left, we were like, “Bye, grandpa.” Now that BoA has completely gone independent and started her own company, we're even happier lol. Don't assume BoA fans must like Lee Soo-man. But I think the main tweet is right lol. The old-school crowd sure looks excited.

Back when Lee Soo-man was getting into the F&B business, I really did think, Has he lost it...? But aespa still did great with Drama, Supernova, and Armageddon after the old man left, and hasn't Hearts2Hearts been getting a good response too? The production-center system has improved the quality of comebacks and their own content too. Separately, A2O MAY felt totally Chinese, but this new group doesn't seem quite that much. I do wonder if they'll be good at Korean though (I know there's a Korean member)
