Islam isn't a religion 😭
The poster argues Sharia operates as a legal-social system and urges Korea to establish safeguards before similar conflicts emerge.
There's one huge misconception people in Korea have, especially older people...
Islam isn't a religion 😭
I know it's one of the world's 3 major religions... but Islam... isn't a religion 😭
Islam isn't a religion. It's law, culture, politics... basically one freaking massive system, yeah.
Europe's been a mess lately, so anyone following the news probably knows even better than I do,
but why do people who believe in Islam go to other countries as refugees or immigrants, supposedly to build better lives,
only to fail to integrate and keep causing trouble?
The reason is obvious...
It's because of Sharia, the core system of Islam.
Sharia (شريعة) means “the path to follow,”
and refers to an entire system of rules governing law, ethics, social life—basically every aspect of daily life—based on Islamic teachings.
It isn't simply a concept containing religious teachings like the Christian Bible.
The table below shows what Sharia covers.

Basically, their whole world is Sharia...
The important point here is that Sharia includes “law.”
And that's exactly why Muslims can't integrate into life in another country...
I already have my own law,
while another country has its own separate laws, right?
But naturally, wouldn't I prioritize Sharia, my own law?
That's where the conflict starts, yeah.

They're creating Sharia zones in other countries..............
And this isn't even recent. It's been going on forever 😭 Way more than 10 years.

Sharia courts in UK face Government inquiry over treatment of women: r/europe
Muslim Patrol in London, UK
A self-proclaimed Islamic vigilante group patrolled the streets however they pleased and policed local residents.
They claimed it was a Sharia zone and forced couples walking hand in hand to let go,
harassed women passing by over their clothes, and hit people who were drinking 😭 hahahahaha
They also happily chanted slogans calling for unbelievers to be killed...
Of course, the participants went to prison... obviously, it's the UK 😭

Sharia Police in Wuppertal, Germany
They walked around the streets wearing orange vests labeled “Sharia Police.”
They told residents not to drink alcohol, gamble, or listen to music.
Maybe because they only ran their mouths here, they just got fined, yeah lol.
Sharia zones are ridiculous enough,
but they even carry out honor killings in other countries 😭

Italy — the honor killing of Saman Abbas
https://apnews.com/article/italy-pakistan-arranged-marriage-murder-41d80af08915d3ea09babdcbf112424c?utm_source=copy&utm_medium=share
An 18-year-old woman refused a marriage arranged by her family
and was killed by her family because she dated a man she liked.
This was even recent... 😭😭
It happened in 2022, and in 2025, the parents and cousin who committed the honor killing were sentenced to life in prison.
* To add some context for objectivity,
after the case, the Union of Islamic Communities in Italy issued a religious ruling saying people may refuse forced marriages, yeah.
But even that is weird... You need a “religious” ruling before people won't commit honor killings...?
It was already illegal not just in Italy, but in literally every country...........................
Ultimately, what I'm trying to say is this:
People in Korea are free to practice whatever religion they want,
but prioritizing religious law over Korean law must NEVER !!! be tolerated.
And we need to acknowledge that the things that already happened in Europe
are gradually getting closer to us too 😭
And to prevent anything like this from happening in Korea,
I think we need to discuss what concrete systems and safeguards are necessary...
We seriously need to act fast and do something 😭😭

Because last year in Austria,
there was a private dispute resolved according to Sharia,
and an Austrian court recognized the decision as legally binding through a civil arbitration ruling, yeah.
Naturally, people over there lost it too 😭 lol.
But now there's already a precedent...?
I'm scared that Korean courts will keep mistaking Islam for just a religion
and make the wrong choice... in the name of protecting religious freedom 😭😭😭

He cooks for himself and does the dishes, and on weekends he cleans the bathroom, kitchen, and house without even letting me touch anything. In some ways he's tidier than I am, and he's kind and hardworking too. Whenever something happens to anyone in my family, he's the first to step up and help. I'm not Muslim, just nonreligious, but he still married me. By Sharia standards, my husband would be a sinner too. There are also Muslims who don't consider Sharia that important. You can't completely ignore that. This is how harmful husband-obsessed married women can be. Since her husband is Muslim, she turns a blind eye to the harm Islam causes ordinary women and even ends up defending it...
Just look at Muslim voters recently mobilizing in Sweden. Once they pass a certain threshold, it only takes a moment before the existing laws and system can no longer control things. It frustrates me when people still treat Islam as simply a matter of faith and insist it must be respected...
If Korea just leaves Islam alone like this, I feel like within 10 years we'll end up like Europe, with a far-right movement demanding the expulsion of Muslims gaining support and entering the National Assembly. Politicians right now are way too naive.
