I saw this when it was first posted and only commenter 2 had replied, and I was already thinking, “Commenter 2 is gonna send this straight to the trending page~” Sure enough, they really threw more fuel on the fire. I don’t watch baseball and don’t know any players’ names or faces, but I’m always seeing trending posts about Kim Do-young hitting home runs, so even I know him. “Doni-sal”? “Dometttak”? Whatever it is, people spam it in the comments so much that even someone who knows nothing about baseball ends up memorizing it. I don’t know where they got the confidence to immediately call the post fake... I really wish people like that would just stop commenting. Separately, I do click whenever Kim Do-young makes the trending page, and he’s handsome too. He’s the only active player whose face I’ve memorized.

I can’t speak for everyone in Gwangju, but my house is Tigers world all day, from the live KIA game to the highlights. lol Seriously, we’re so thrilled that a real superstar like Kim Do-young came out of a place like this lol. If you’re good at baseball, we’ll even secretly buy your meal for you—my dad does, anyway lol.

I visited Gwangju in the middle of baseball season, and there happened to be a game in Gwangju that day—I had no clue. Seriously, Kim Do-young’s name was everywhere, on the streets and on everyone’s jerseys. My takeaway was Gwangju = the city of Kim Do-young.
