Wow... Jung Young-joo's acting in The Remarried Empress suddenly had me completely locked in.

The Remarried Empress is basically, “They poured tons of money into it and even fitted every extra for their costume, but...” then gave it Life4Cuts props and escape-room decor. The only person who doesn't feel awkward in it—the seasoned veteran with nn years of experience playing every kind of European noblewoman. Countess Jung Young-joo .

Personally, I think going with a dubbed-foreign-film style was a stroke of genius.

I know she's a great actress, and I understand that this is a genre piece where musical-style delivery makes sense. But the other actors use conventional drama delivery while Jung Young-joo alone has a different rhythm and tone, so she stands out and it seems to have the opposite effect. If all the other actors had used that same musical-style delivery, they could've created some real synergy.

That kind of musical acting really does suit this drama better lol. Just as historical dramas have their own delivery, it feels like we've newly discovered that romantic-fantasy dramas need musical-style acting lol.

Wow, for real. While everyone else looks like they're in Surprise, she's the only one giving Bridgerton.
