When I saw it on the big screen at BIFF, the acting, sound, and palace backdrops were all lavish and nice to watch, and I think that waltz scene looks fine in video too. The comments are kind of scary—was it really that bad? Wow.
But I thought it looked fun. The shameless things Ju Ji-hoon says and does to Shin Min-a because of Lee Se-young p*ssed me off so much. I could already tell I was going to get way too invested lol
Honestly, things like the sets and costumes can be smoothed over with color grading and directing.... But with The Remarried Empress, the problem starts with the color grading rather than the sets, costumes, or actors. You can tell immediately from the actors' behind-the-scenes video lol. Even the color grading there is way better than in the drama. That just gives people even more reason to drag the drama.
