The actor unexpectedly getting buzz in the live-action adaptation of The Remarried Empress
Lee Se-young's Disney-princess visuals and layered take on Rashta are drawing attention in The Remarried Empress teaser.

Most of the hype has been around the main three—Navier, Heinrey, and Sovieshu—
and I don't think she got mentioned that much at first,
but reactions slowly started picking up when the posters dropped.

Now Lee Se-young is stealing the spotlight by showing off some unexpectedly strong fantasy-romance energy.

Especially the scene at the first ball where she dances with Ju Ji-hoon while looking at Shin Min-a. Legendary;;;;;;;
That uniquely coquettish look Rashta gives—wow, she's so annoying but so lovable.

For reference, Rashta, played by Lee Se-young, has an angelic appearance but is a villain involved in an affair who gets in Navier's way.
When the webtoon was being serialized, people even came up with the insulting nickname “Lobster” for her.
But if you read the web novel, she's also a pretty layered character you can't help feeling for,,
Like, you can't completely hate her?

And Lee Se-young pulled that off.
The live-action version is just so adorably Disney-like
that most people are saying they can't call her Lobster anymore lolllllllll

I only grabbed screenshots of a few teaser comments, but there really are so many people talking about Rashta.

With her pale skin and big eyes, plus the fact that she's bleached her hair fairly often before, I think the look feels even less out of place.
Every time Lee Se-young gives that eye smile, it feels like Rashta is really right there, and my heart can't take it.
The web novel's ending really weighed on me,
so I'm off to reread the original for the first time in ages,, the end,,

Wasn't Lee Se-young the biggest topic from the moment the posters were first revealed? Everyone said she was gorgeous and perfect for the role. I thought it would be Jung Young-joo lol But hearing her deliver the lines instead of just looking at photos, the casting is insanely perfect lollll
It's Lee Se-young, so I figured she'd do well. It really shows how much a lead actor stands out even in a supporting role. Separately though, her signature sharpness lol gives Rashta a kind of depth that doesn't quite fit the character.
She's using a full-on historical-drama tone, so I'm surprised people are saying she's good.
