Apparently Lee Jong-suk asked the prop team for Heinrey's blue rose in The Remarried Empress after looking up its meaning..

Commenters say Lee Jong-suk personally choosing the blue rose shows just how seriously he understands Heinrey.

I was reading an interview with Japanese media, and apparently he looked up flower meanings himself and asked the prop team to use blue roses for the ballroom scene because he thought they'd fit better. Why is Lee Jong-suk so serious about Heinrey...... And when asked what makes the character lovable, he picked “cuteness” lol. If he's cute, that's all that matters

Because blue roses mean >>> love that never gives up, and miracles

He said blue roses seemed like they'd suit the scene better than red roses

Whoa...

I liked it even more because the blue popped so intensely. Someone straight out of a webtoon who's also a drama nerd really does hit different

I guess there really is a reason he's so good at choosing scripts. He really is a drama nerd

He really understands the character's charms and knows how to bring them out. I think he's better at acting in fantasy than slice-of-life stuff
