칠곡낙동강평화축제 is held to honor the historical significance of the Nakdong River Battle, the last defensive line during the Korean War, and to remember the spirit of national defense. It is organized to preserve the value of 대한민국 that ordinary people protected at the risk of their lives in 1950 and to express gratitude to those who defended the country. Main events include the opening ceremony, military culture performances, and a celebratory opening concert. Performances also include a children's musical, the '미스터 트롯3 TOP7 콘서트' by popular singers, and the '칠곡 피스 뮤직 페스티벌'. Additional programs feature various hands-on zones and exhibitions, content themed around peace in the region, and a food area, offering visitors plenty to see and enjoy.
