ArtGwangju is the largest international art fair in the Honam region, offering a single place to explore the latest trends in contemporary art and the art market in Korea and abroad. Galleries, artists, and collectors from Korea and overseas gather to present works and discover new artistic value, making it a hub for cultural exchange between Gwangju, Jeonnam, and the global art world. It is hosted by the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City and organized by the Gwangju Cultural Foundation and the ArtGwangju Secretariat. At ArtGwangju26, about 110 galleries from 12 countries, including the Middle East and Europe, will take part and showcase diverse contemporary art trends such as painting, sculpture, and media art. In particular, the special exhibitions 《명품 특별전》, 《프로포즈전》, and 《라이징스타전》 broaden the fair's exhibition value by presenting carefully selected works, collectors' pieces from the region, and art by young Gwangju and Jeonnam artists. Beyond a market for buying and selling artworks, ArtGwangju aims to expand the base of art in Gwangju and Jeonnam and build a foundation for sustainable growth as an international cultural exchange platform where art value and new creativity are discovered and the region connects with the world.
