*The festival content below is from the previous year (2025), and the 2026 festival content is being updated.* Now in its 30th edition, the 강동선사문화축제 is the only Seoul festival themed around prehistoric times. It highlights the historical value of the prehistoric site while offering diverse programs that let visitors experience the lives of prehistoric people. This year, to mark the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Seoul Amsa-dong Site, the festival is organized into separate spaces themed around the four elements of water, fire, earth, and wind, under the theme ‘6000년의 숨결, 100년의 빛, 30년의 울림.’ Each space will fill the 3 days with productions matched to its materials, along with exhibitions, hands-on experiences, night programs, delicious food, and a variety of performances, giving visitors a special sense of fun that bridges the past and present.
