Hwasun Unjusa Cultural Festival is the signature cultural festival held at Hwasun Unjusa, a mystical site where a thousand Buddhist statues and stone pagodas rest in every valley. In the quiet grounds filled with the legend of the reclining Buddha that has lain there for a thousand years, a wide range of cultural and artistic programs welcomes people of all ages. Moving traditional bell-ringing and pungmul performances, along with music from many genres, liven up the festival grounds, while participatory missions around Unjusa and hands-on traditions and cultural experiences are plentiful. In the deepening autumn, you can step into the mysterious legend of the Thousand Buddhas and Thousand Pagodas and enjoy a warm break and special memories.
