Mu-seom Village is a traditional village whose Korean name, '물수리', means an island floating on water. In a distinctive landscape where the clear waters of the Naeseongcheon stream and silver-white sandbars surround the village, the 무섬외나무다리축제 is held in October. Along with reenactments of traditional wedding and funeral-procession rituals that capture the joys and sorrows of village life in the saying, 'When you marry, you come on a palanquin; when you die, you leave on a bier,' visitors can enjoy the 무섬 외나무다리 performance and barefoot walks on the Mu-seom sandbar. There are also lively side programs such as a street parade, the 무섬 healing rope experience, a classical poetry contest open to visitors, a nationwide photo contest, and a stamp tour, making it easy to leave with lasting memories.
