The 8th 연천 국화축제 is an autumn chrysanthemum festival hosted by 연천군 and organized by 연천군농업기술센터, held around the 전곡리 유적 in 연천. The theme of the 2026 festival is “고구려의 숨결, 국화꽃으로 피어나다”. It connects the historical and cultural setting of the 전곡리 유적 with diverse chrysanthemum landscapes, offering visitors plenty to see and experience. The festival grounds will feature large-scale chrysanthemum displays, themed photo zones, and exhibition and activity spaces inspired by 고구려. Hands-on programs and photo spots will be available, along with areas promoting and selling local agricultural products and food. Designed as a regional tourism festival, it welcomes families and visitors of all kinds to enjoy autumn chrysanthemum scenery while discovering 연천’s history, culture, and local agriculture. For paid visitors, an amount equivalent to the admission fee is refunded in 연천사랑상품권, linking festival visits with local spending.
